Went to breakfast and saw Michael Rubin, a harp player whose various posts to Harp-L (the Internet harmonica mailing list that most of the pros use) are always informative and interesting.

Otherwise, I noticed again how old the general attendees to SPAH are.  I’m not so young myself, but I’m a lot younger than the average for this event.  I don’t think that’s good.  Organizations that are very, very old tend to be very, very dead after a little while–that’s how life works, you get older and then you get deader.  AARP stays alive because they aggressively recruit at the lower end of their age scale.  I doubt SPAH is recruiting heavily in any age group.

More to come later today.
