A Harp-Heavy Take on “Highway 61 Revisited”
This live video performance of Bob Dylan’s “Highway 61 Revisited” was recorded July 20, 2023. I updated an arrangement I recorded in the 1980s with new everything for this version. The take is close to 5 minutes long, and it’s worth the listen.
Harp tech talk: I used a Seydel Session Steel harmonica in Bb into a Bulletini mic, processed through a Line 6 Helix Stromp running a Bassman amp model with a longish delay. The backing tracks were arranged and recorded by me using Cakewalk by Bandlab.
I turned on the blue lights in my studio for this one. It’s not a blues, but there’s plenty of blues in it.
Enjoy.
